Join Hi-Desert Fly Fishers

Established in 2009, the Hi-Desert Fly Fishers is a welcoming, family-oriented club dedicated to introducing and sharing the joy of fly fishing! Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced angler, we offer engaging programs led by fly-fishing experts covering everything from casting and fly tying to rod building and conservation.

Join us at our monthly meetings or out on the water as we connect, learn, and protect our local fisheries for generations to come.

Who can participate:
Anyone! The club and its monthly meetings are open to all levels of fly fishers in the community, including members and non-member guests interested in learning about the sport. The club also reaches out to local youth, veterans, and local community groups.

What members can expect:
Unique presentations, hands-on learning (casting, fly tying, rod building), conservation initiatives, social activities, and group fishing experiences on the water. .

What is expected of members:
Simply bring an interest in learning, sharing, and protecting local fisheries. The club also welcomes optional participation in community service, such as their annual Christmas "Spark of Love" toy drive.

When the group meets:
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.

Where we meet: Apple Valley Fire Station 336 (19235 Yucca Loma Road). Regularly scheduled fishing trips and hosted throughout the area.

Why you should join: To learn new skills, make friends in a supportive social setting, get hands-on experience on the water, and support local conservation and community outreach programs.

How much membership costs and what it covers:
Membership is $36 per year. It covers access to club meetings, expert-led workshops (casting, tying, rod building), organized fishing outings, and participation in community and conservation initiatives.
